1. The golden jubilee year celebration at Calicut Chapter

The golden jubilee year celebration of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was celebrated by the Calicut Chapter of SIRC with great enthusiasm on Wednesday, 4th day of October, 2017.

The celebration were organised at Hotel Paramount Tower, town hall road, Kozhikode. Shri. MA Mehaboob, Director of Malabar Chamber of Commerce and Secretary of Calicut chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) was guest of the programme.

Shri. Gautam R Mallaya Chairman of the Chapter welcomed all the dignitaries and members to the programme. Presentation made on glimpses of glorious 50 years was displayed and also role played by the Calicut chapter during its existence was briefed.

Thereafter Shri. MA Mehaboob addressed the gathering and appreciated the role by the Institute during all these years towards good corporate initiatives. He also added that more public visible programmes shall be conducted during the 50th year to reach more stake holders.

All the participation memoirs were distributed, Past Chairmen were felicitated with memoirs/ angavathram and convocation and oath taking ceremony was well organised. From 6.00 PM onwards live webcast of address byPrime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi was shown to the members assembled.



ICSI Calicut Chapter jointly with SEBI, CDSL IPF AND BSE IPF conducted a full day Professional Development Programme on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 2017 at Hotel Paramount Tower, Kozhikode from 9.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M.

Internal control, Accounting & Tax consultant

The day was marked by an excellent participation with around 26 Members & 34 Students benefiting from the program.

3. ''Spirit of togetherness Programme'':- Football Friendly held on 8th day of October 2017.

Calicut Chapter of SIRC of ICSI had come up with an initiative indenting to bring members and students together more often and would conduct Interactive sessions on relevant subjects, Games like cricket/football/ badminton / indoor games and Picnic etc during the year 2016 and has been continually organizing such programmes.

Chapter organized a friendly football tournament involving students and members on Sunday, 8thday of October 2017, at St. Joseph School Junior, Calicut, Kerala.

The Tournament was a great success with 40 (including 12 members and 28 students) participants and also audience. There were 4 teams; each team had mix of Members and students. The tournament was divided into a format of point system with all teams playing each other and team with highest point being the winner. The winning team was awarded with medallions and a Rolling trophy;

It was a great experience for all the members and students and the tournament was played in a good spirit.


Calicut chapter of SIRC of ICSI has initiated a small step towards environment protection.

As a first initiative on 10th day of October, 2017; students led by Gautam R Mallaya, Chairman collected and removed plastic waste from premises of School play ground of St Josephs School Junior, Kozhikode and procured waste was handed to the waste management authorities.

School authorities co- operated whole heartedly for the said cause. We are planning more such initiatives in the future.
