Subject: Making e-MSOP accessible to all eligible students during the period of complete lock down due to COVID 19 by relaxing the criterion of two years' time bar.


Due to complete lock down of the country on account of the COVID19, the ICSI has relaxed the eligibility criteria for taking admission in e-MSOP by temporarily removing the two years' time bar between professional pass and e-MSOP registration, so that all professional pass students irrespective of their year of passing in professional examination may avail the facility of e-MSOP subject to fulfillment of other conditions as mentioned in the guidelines


“This provision shall be applicable till 30th June 2020 or till reopening of the Regional Offices and Chapters, whichever is later. The students are required to pay the applicable fee for e-MSOP and complete the training in order to become eligible for applying membership of the ICSI. For detailed e-MSOP guidelines, please visit at ICSI website  “


Further, aThe students who have already registered for MSOP on classroom mode in Regions and Chapters in the month of March, 2020 and could not continue due to lock down, can get their refund proportionately from their respective Region / in which student have registered and can register afresh for e-MSOP separately.

Postponement of 23rd MSOP till further orders due to Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), next schedule will be announced very soon.


With reference to 23rd  MSOP scheduled on 16th March, 2020 and temporarily postponed to 18th March, 2020. In this regards we would like to bring to notice that the ICSI HQ has released announcement on Institute website dated 13.03.2020. In which the HQ directed


“All the employees & officials, members and students of ICSI are advised to adhere to the guidelines /instructions/advisories including restrictions on travelling and mass gathering, issued by the Central Government and the concerned State Government from time to time. “


Further, as a precaution, the State government ordered closure of all educational institutions, including coaching centers and summer camps till March 31. As per the ICSI HQ directions we have to adhere the instructions of State Government of Telangana G.O. Rt.No.4 dated 14.03.2020. Hence, the schedule of 23rd MSOP has been postponed till further orders. The next date will be announced very soon.


We regret for inconvenience and also hope, you understand the precautions to be taken in view of seriousness of Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in our best in time.

The Institute Of Company Secretaries Of India.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India awards the certificate of bestowing the designation of Company Secretary(CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute.
